Meet Samara: Our Creative Visionary
Samara, the owner of The Arty People, is a skilled face painter and body
artist specializing in henna and glam. With a Fine Arts degree from the
Art Institute of Pittsburgh, her work has been showcased in galleries
across the U.S., including San Francisco, Oakland, and the Midwest.
A mom of five, including a daughter with special needs, Samara has
extensive experience teaching and adapting her classes to meet the
needs of all abilities. Her background as a former art teacher and her
deep involvement with community nonprofits reflect her commitment to making art accessible to everyone.

Meet Tayla: Our Lead Teacher
Tayla is a PhD student with dual honors degrees in Childhood
Development and Education. With years of experience working with kids,
the elderly, and individuals with special needs, Tayla excels at assessing
and setting personalized, attainable goals. Her passion is to make art
inclusive for everyone, ensuring that every participant feels included and
part of a team. Tayla’s collaborative teaching style fosters a supportive
environment where creativity thrives. As a certified tutor and teacher, she has been actively involved in creative initiatives throughout the South Bend and Mishawaka areas, including at libraries, local schools, and community fellowships.

Meet Juliette: Our Body Artist
Juliette is a skilled special effects artist with years of painting experience.
Her work, including digital art, animation, and physical art, has been
featured in numerous contests across the U.S. Currently an art education
student, Juliette loves connecting with kids, particularly middle and high
school students, and is passionate about helping them explore their
creative potential.

Meet Jenny: Our Senior Artist
Jenny is a talented jewelry maker and painter with years of experience
running her own successful jewelry company. She specializes in
ceramics and pottery, bringing her expertise to the adult and senior
classes she teaches. Jenny’s classes are tailored to all skill levels,
ensuring that everyone, from beginners to experienced artists, can
enjoy and grow in their creative journey.
